Non-Exclusive Topline License – Terms

1. Ownership & Rights

  • Emma Diva / Emma L.M. Sweeney retains 100% of publishing rights in the topline composition (lyrics + melody).
  • The producer retains 100% of publishing rights in their instrumental composition.
  • The producer owns 100% of the master recording created using the topline.
  • This is a non-exclusive license — multiple producers can license the same topline.

2. Royalties

  • Publishing: Each composition earns its own publishing royalties via PRO registration (BMI, ASCAP, PRS, etc.).
  • Mechanical royalties: Split based on each party’s written composition — topline vs instrumental.
  • Master royalties: Paid entirely to the producer.

3. PRO Registration

  • Register your topline composition (Emma Diva / Emma L.M. Sweeney as sole writer).
  • Producer registers their instrumental composition (as sole writer).
  • Each party receives 100% of their respective composition share.
  • Total percentage across both compositions equals 200% (standard industry format).

4. Credit

  • Must credit: Vocal by Emma Diva.
  • Attribution only — ownership of the topline remains with Emma Diva / Emma L.M. Sweeney.

5. Producer Benefits

  • Full control of your master and instrumental composition.
  • Commercial release rights (streaming, downloads, sync, etc.).
  • Freedom to remix, rearrange, process, and adapt the topline.
  • Clear, fair royalty setup mirroring professional remix agreements.
